Who does mommy have?


Kathy is also a Certified Postpartum Doula trained to provide guidance and assist new parents with bathing, bottle feeding, diapering, swaddling, family meal preparation, family laundry, shopping and simple errands, baby care education and assistance. She will also compassionately physically/ emotionally supports the recovering parent as they adjust to parenthood while recovering from birth.

Kathy has education, expertise in supporting birthing people experiencing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD). She has worked very closely with the Postpartum Resource Center of New York’s Executive Director, Sonia Murdock, since the inception of PRC of NY, co-hosting many PMAD Workshops for medical and allied-medical professionals. Through these workshops, she was able to play a part in bringing attention to and educating Long Island’s medical community to be aware and understand PMAD, how to recognize symptoms, and where to refer for treatment for an emotional issue that affects almost 20% of birthing people in the US.
